Entrepreneurship Curriculum
The LeBow College of Business offers academic programs in Entrepreneurship as follows:
- Undergraduate concentration in Entrepreneurship as part of the Business Administration curriculum
- Undergraduate minor in Entrepreneurship for interdisciplinary study by all Drexel students
- MBA students can choose elective courses to complete a concentration in Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship Undergraduate Concentration:
Required Courses: 24 credits
- MGMT 260 (4) Intro to Entrepreneurship
- MGMT 364 (4) Technology Management
- MGMT 365 (4) Business Planning for Entrepreneurs
- FIN 335 (4) Entrepreneurial Finance
MGMT 260, 364, 365 and FIN 335 are required. Students may choose two of the remaining courses
Choose two of the following:
- MGMT 363 (4) Directed Study in Entrepreneurship
- ACCTG ___ (4) Accounting Essentials for New Ventures
- BLAW 346 (4) Entrepreneur Law
- MKTG 347 (4) New Product Development
Undergraduate Minor in Entrepreneurship (24 credits minimum)
The following courses are required:
- ACCT 120 (4) - Accounting Essentials for New Ventures
- MGMT 260 (4) - Introduction to Entrepreneurship
- MGMT 364 (4) - Technology Management
- MGMT 365 (4) - Business Planning for Entrepreneurs
Students select two of the following (or 8 credits of courses from a different college/school with approval from the Department of Management).:
- BLAW 346 (4) - Entrepreneurial Law
- FIN 301 (4) - Introduction to Finance
- FIN 335 (4) - Entrepreneurial Finance
- MKTG 347 (4) - New Product Development
- MGMT 363 (4) - Directed Study in Entrepreneurship*
- ORGB 300 WI (4) - Organizational Behavior
*MGMT 363 (for seniors only, with permission from the Head of the Department of Management.)
Graduate Concentration in Entrepreneurship
The following course is required:
- MGMT 652 (3): New Venture Planning
Plus, two of the following:
- BLAW 646 (3) Legal Issues in New Ventures
- MGMT 650 (3) Corporate Venturing
- FIN 635 (3) Entrepreneurial Finance
- MGMT 653 (3) Practicum in Entrepreneurship
- MKTG 638 (3) New Product Development
Numbers in parentheses represent the credit hours allocated to each course.
