The Laurence A. Baiada Center for Entrepreneurship offers a rich array of programs, events, courses, training programs and physical space to incubate ideas, entrepreneurs and companies.
- Incubator - Designated space for startup companies to train and develop their
teams and cultivate their businesses for bell-ringing accomplishments!
- Baiada Companies - Past and present, these companies were born in Baiada.
- GAP - The Growth Acceleration Program (GAP), a customized, consultative training
program for small and mid-size companies, is without peer and forces entrepreneurs to deliver company-specific
documentation in order to earn certification. GAP enhances the Baiada Center's involvement in the cultivation
of companies in a way that is unprecedented and employs training and development modules that drive companies
through specific disciplines to develop and crystallize their company formation and strategy, brand message,
leadership and team building, and instill effective sales processes and cash management techniques.
- Entrepreneurial Breakfast Forums - The Baiada Center's Entrepreneurial
Breakfast Series is Philadelphia's first and only entrepreneurial forum for regional development initiatives
that links companies, institutional and private investors and research institutions with the Drexel community.
Panel discussions and guest speakers provide thought leadership in best practices of entrepreneurship for
experienced entrepreneurs.
- Entrepreneurial Skills Workshops - This series draws on the talents and leadership
of business executives and entrepreneurs in the region and offers insight into various aspects of entrepreneurship.
Each workshop focuses on a specific aspect of entrepreneurship from branding a product or service to the legal
issues faced with protecting intellectual property.
- Mentor Programs - The Baiada Center has a robust mentoring culture that engages the experienced entrepreneurs
- Entrepreneur Conference - The Baiada Center's premier annual event that includes engaging discussions,
speakers and pitches by student competitors in the Incubator Competition.
- New Ventures Projects Online - Business ventures are matched with MBA students to engage in real-world
projects for a win-win outcome!
- Academic Curriculum - Courses in business plan writing are offered in many colleges and schools across
campus and the LeBow College of Business offers full programs of study in entrepreneurship.
- Student Clubs - Drexel University students lead two clubs that focus on entrepreneurial activity - one
for undergraduate students across the University and the other for MBA students.
- StartUp! - High ability high school juniors and seniors participate in a weeklong summer program that
teaches foundations of entrepreneurship in a fun, competitive environment.
- Seminars in Entrepreneurial Excellence - The
Baiada Center hosts a series of robust half-day training sessions for
entrepreneurs and business leaders to support personal and company growth,
innovation, and best practices in entrepreneurship.
