The mission of Drexel University's LeBow College of Business Center for Corporate Governance (CCG) is to conduct research, generate practical and scholarly commentary, and actively engage the business community to identify best practices and advocate excellence in corporate governance polices.
CCG provides a forum for the open exchange of ideas supported by research. CCG is the resource for practical solutions to governance issues facing directors, regulators, practitioners and senior management.
Corporate governance is not intended solely to satisfy government regulations. More regulation isn't necessarily better governance. Corporate governance is a system of checks and balances that ensure the right questions are asked and practical solutions to governance issues facing directors and practitioners are found. This is critical today as we face increased technology, rapid communication and an emerging global economy.
CCG also conducts research in nonprofit governance and provides programs and seminars addressing the growing demands for best practices by boards of directors, donors, and government regulators.
