Keynote Speaker and Honoree:
Dr. Michael C. Jensen, Jesse Isidor Straus Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus, Harvard University
Dr. Jensen will present his keynote address "A Positive Model of Integrity." Dr. Jensen's positive model of integrity provides powerful access to increased performance for individuals, groups, organizations, and societies. His model also reveals the causal link between integrity as we distinguish and define it, and increased performance and value-creation for all entities. It also provides access to that causal link.
Dr. Jensen earned his Ph.D. in economics, finance and accounting and his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago. He has been on faculty at the Harvard Business School since 1985. Dr. Jensen, a distinguished scholar, has been awarded numerous honorary doctor of law degrees from colleges around the world. He has authored more than 90 scientific papers, founded the Journal of Financial Economics and the Social Science Research Network. He has served as consultant and board member to several foundations, corporations and governmental agencies.
Dr. Jensen is the first recipient of the Outstanding Academic Contribution to Corporate Governance Award. The Award is given to an individual for his or her notable contributions to research in Corporate Governance.
