Twenty LeBow Ph.D. students participated in Drexel Research Day on April 23rd. Luciana Costa, a second year student in Economics, won a University award for best poster in the Graduate Business category for her work entitled "Hospital Competition and the Provision of Uncompensated Care." Luciana also received a $500 prize from the University. Lee Zane and Tianxu Chen were recognized by the University as honorable mention for their work entitled "Strategy & Entrepreneurship: A Model of Entrepreneurial Competitive Moves: The Influence of Industry Context and Individual Factors." The College also awarded several students for their excellent work: Lee Zane , Tianxu Chen, Marco DiRenzo, Marina Puzakova, Brooke Malinowski, Shan Feng, Won Yong Kim and Liming Huang will all receive $300 prizes from the College.

The fourth annual Drexel Graduate Student Day was held May 8th. Graduate Student Day is an occasion where the University recognizes graduate students for their achievements in research and teaching. This year several LeBow Ph.D. students were recognized for their accomplishments.
Josh Hall, a fourth year student in Economics, was one of only five Ph.D. students to win a University research award. Josh’s work examines how technological innovation, spurred by trade liberalization, affects income inequality both across nations and within nations. Josh received a $500 prize from the University. Marina Puzakova, a second year student in Marketing, was recognized with an honorable mention award in research. Ho Kwong Kwan (third year Management) and Lee Zane (fourth year Management) were also nominated for research awards.
Two LeBow Ph.D. students won University teaching awards. Ho Kwong Kwan (third year Management) and Shan Feng (third year Marketing) accounted for two of only ten University teaching awards presented. Yi Liao (third year Decision Sciences), Umit Koc (second year Marketing), Mark Tribbitt (second year Management) and Lee Zane (fourth year Management) were also nominated for teaching awards.
