The LeBow College of Business Center for Teaching Excellence is pleased to announce the inaugural BUSINESS PROFESSOR TEACHING SUMMIT (BPTS) to be held at Drexel University on Friday, May 20, 2011. The BPTS is a business school faculty conference dedicated to sharing innovative and effective strategies to enhance student learning across all business disciplines.

Joe Ben Hoyle, Professor Robins School of Business at University of Richmond

Professor Joe Ben Hoyle is co-author of Advanced Accounting and Essentials of Advanced Accounting, Tips and Thoughts on Improving the Teaching Process in College and most recently Financial Accounting – a freelance online textbook. He was selected as 2007 Virginia Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, one of Business Week‘s Favorite U.S. Undergraduate Business School Professors in 2006 and given the University of Richmond, Distinguished Educator Award five times.

Chris Fralic, Managing Partner First Round Capital

Chris Fralic is a Partner at First Round Capital. He has over 25 years of technology industry experience, including significant Internet sales and business development roles since 1996. Fralic currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Leader to Leader Institute (formerly the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management), is an advisor at First Growth Venture Network, a member of the Philly.com Digital Advisory Board, and has attended and been involved with the TED Conference since 1994 - helping to launch TEDTalks.

Chris earned his BS in Finance from Villanova University, and his MBA from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
