Instructions for Submitting a Proposal

Submit a Proposal

  • Sessions submissions are for 30-minute sessions.
  • Presenters should submit proposals via the Online Submission Form
  • The related topic track(s) should be clearly identified.
  • All co-authors or co-presenters must be listed with complete information provided.
  • Abstracts should be 50-75 words, and will be used as the session description in the official program.
  • The proposal paper should be attached as a Word document, be double-spaced and standard 12-point font. It should be a minimum of 500 words, but no more than 10 pages. It must include author and/or presenter information and the specified track(s).
  • Hard copies or emails will not be accepted.

Evaluation criteria for selection will include, but not be limited to the following (the evaluation rubric may be referred to for additional guidance)

  • Completes all relevant and required information, adheres to submission guidelines and is appropriate in format and readability
  • Relates to and is relevant to both the topic track selected as well as the overall BPTS objectives
  • Presents practical, applicable and innovative ideas to impact and enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement and learning in a higher education business curriculum
  • Involves audience engagement and/or allows time for discussion, hands-on application and questions and answers
  • Includes relevant research, citations, methodology, results and references.
