Department of Accounting : NABA
The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.) is a non-profit professional accounting organization that represents more than 100,000 members in the related business fields of accounting, finance, information technology, and consulting. In keeping with the overall mission and goals of NABA, Inc., Drexel University’s NABA chapter aims to increase the number of minority individuals in accounting and business by promoting professionalism and educational advancement and to enhance leadership ability by serving as an example and a resource for Drexel students. In conjunction with Drexel’s Department of Accounting, NABA hosts several networking events and career workshops during the school year as well as community service activities which provide the opportunity for members to fulfill their civic responsibilities.
