The Decision Sciences Department encompasses the academic disciplines of production operations management and statistics.

Productions Operations Management
Productions Operations Management (POM) teaches students how to participate as managers or specialists in the operations activity of industrial and service systems. POM stresses a thorough knowledge of the rapidly accumulating analytical techniques in systems analysis, as well as a full appreciation of all other phases of business.

Statistics
Statistics combines management studies with quantitative methods. Students analyze and solve complex management problems using models to evaluate strategies. Many students go on to work in a variety of fields, including manufacturing, product planning and research and development.
