The Department of Economics and International Business offers the following degree programs BS in Economics , BS in Business Administration ( Economics and International Business concentrations) and PhD in Economics

Economics

The Department has an outstanding group of faculty members who are dedicated researchers and teachers. A number of faculty members have received awards for their teaching and research. The faculty members are doing cutting edge research on economic policy and theory and are dedicated to providing all of our students a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Economics which will prepare them for careers in business and policy or for graduate school. Some of our recent graduates have gone on to Graduate School at the London School of Economics and Johns Hopkins University.

International Business

International business focuses on business activities that cross national borders. The plan of study explores the international business environment as well as the internal workings of international corporations and the impact of international considerations on the various functional areas of business. Students also have the option of taking a language and participate in an international residency

International business graduates are employed in a variety of corporate settings, including the pharmaceutical, banking and telecommunication industries. Some students pursue graduate studies or find employment in multilateral governmental organizations.
