Organizational Behavior
Organizational Behavior (OB) is an interdisciplinary field of study dedicated
to understanding how differences in attributes and behavior at various levels
(e.g., individual, dyad, group, etc.) influence outcomes of importance to organizations,
their members, and other stakeholders. In the undergraduate program, students
are introduced to core concepts, principles, and theories of OB and taught
how to apply these to situations they will face as employees and leaders. The
MBA curriculum includes courses in leadership that provide a foundation for
students to develop as effective leaders through different levels of advancement
and responsibility and across the lifespan. The MBA program also offers a concentration
in Organization Management that prepares students to assume leadership roles
in organizational settings. At the PhD
level,
students may pursue a specialization in Organization and Strategy in which
they learn how to conduct significant research on behavioral and strategic
issues facing contemporary organizations.
