Pharmaceutical Leadership Forum: Renee Amoore
11/18/09 - Drexel University's LeBow College of Business and Corporate and Executive Education present Renee Amoore, health care advocate and founder of The Amoore Group. An active participant in shaping her community, Amoore was the first African American elected to the Upper Merion School District, where she served as the board's vice president for four years. In 1992, she was elected to Pennsylvania's Republican State Committee and became its deputy chair in 1996. She made history again in 2004 when she became the first female and African American to chair a Pennsylvania delegation to the Republican National Convention. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, Pennsylvanians for Effective Government and Drexel University.

The former Minister of Defense has published two books: "Olof Palme and Latin America", Editorial Azul, Montevideo (1986), and "Desarrollo con Equidad", Editorial Nueva Sociedad, Caracas (1988), and several short stories and articles. He is currently writing a novel and a selection of short stories.
