05/21/08 - David Elkins, vice president and chief financial officer of AstraZeneca North America and a 1995 graduate of Drexel University LeBow College of Business MBA program, addressed the LeBow community on the differentiating that factors make the pharmaceutical industry a career industry of choice. Elkins provided an overview of the career options available in pharmaceuticals and discussed the current challenges and opportunities surrounding the industry as well as its future.

05/09/08 - Bijan Khosrowshahi, president and CEO of Fuji Fire & Marine Insurance Company Limited in Japan, discussed some of the unique initiatives that have enabled Fuji to achieve these results as well as some of the stereotype impressions of Japanese work force and corporations from his perspective. Mr. Khosrowshahi previously headed AIG's operations in Korea and Turkey prior to his current position. He has also worked in New York and Philadelphia since starting his career at AIG in 1986. Mr. Khosrowshahi has an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Drexel University.

05/02/08 - LeBow College of Business showcased its new Business and Engineering (B&E) curriculum (formerly Commerce & Engineering). A panel featuring B&E alumni discussed and highlighted the accomplishments of LeBow alumni and faculty.

05/01/08 - The CEO Agenda featured the unfiltered insights of panelists Renee Amoore, president and CEO, The Amoore Group; Nick DeBenedictis, chairman and CEO, Aqua America; Dominic Frederico, president and CEO, Assured Guaranty, Ltd.; Raj Gupta, chairman, president and CEO, Rohm and Haas Company; Jeffrey Orleans, chairman and CEO, Orleans Homebuilders. The CEO Agenda suggests that academic research can be beneficial to businesses and executives to assist them in meeting their current and future challenges as well as anticipating ever-evolving conditions in the global economy. 04/30/08 - Dr. Roy Carriker, founder and chairman of Global Advisors LLC, addressed an audience at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business on how the current confluence of globalization, information technology and the Internet is rapidly bringing forward new dramatic forms of business structure and practice. In 2002 Dr. Carriker retired as vice chairman of Teleflex Incorporated, a diversified $2.2 billion NYSE listed firm with a balanced portfolio of businesses in the commercial, aerospace and medical markets. Carriker served for three years as CEO of Indivers BV (the Netherlands), now-chairman, and serves in director or advisory to numerous different corporations. He was also the Pennsylvania Innovation Network's 1994 Entrepreneur of the Year.
