2. If you do not have a Social Security number (SSN), a student identification number (SID) will be assigned to you. All future correspondence with the University must include your SSN or SID.
10. Indicate full- or part-time status and concentration, if applicable. Note that you may apply for one program only.
11. Indicate the location where you wish to study.
12. You may apply for one degree program only.
13. This question is optional, and aids the University in determining how well it is complying with affirmative action legislation. Your answer will not affect the evaluation of your application.
14. For all required tests, indicate when you took the test or when you plan to take it. (Test requirements are found on the Program Requirements page.)
International Students: Students whose native language is not English are required to take and submit a score from the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). The official score report needs to be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service to Drexel before an admissions decision can be made. Students who will earn a bachelor's degree from a United States institution before enrolling or have worked full-time in an English-speaking country for more than two years may have this requirement waived. TOEFL scores must be less than two years old to be considered. Information regarding the TOEFL and GMAT can be obtained by writing to the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, NJ 08541; calling 609-921-9000; or visiting www.ets.org.
15. Information on your country of citizenship and residency status is required for immigration purposes. If you are a permanent resident of the United States, enclose a photocopy of both sides of your alien registration card.
17. You must list all colleges, universities, and graduate/professional schools you attended previously, even if you took only one class and it was not related to your proposed degree program. Use a separate sheet if necessary. You must also submit official transcripts from all colleges, universities, and graduate/professional schools you attended. The degree you received and the date your degree was conferred should be posted on your transcript. If this information is not on your transcript, submit a notarized copy of your degree certificate stating the degree you received and the date conferred.
Official transcripts must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the university seal over the flap. It is acceptable for the registrar to send the transcript directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions. It is not necessary for you to request transcripts from Drexel University if you are a Drexel graduate or an undergraduate who is currently enrolled.
International Students: International students must list all colleges, universities, and graduate and professional schools attended. Along with your application, you must enclose official transcripts (mark sheets and degree certificates) in your native language and in English from all colleges and graduate or professional schools attended. Do not send transcripts from secondary schools. If your school issues one transcript for life, send a notarized photocopy of it, bearing the seal on each page.
18. While academic references are permitted, professional references are preferred. As the MBA is a professional degree the admissions committee is evaluating your professional accomplishments and ability to work in a professional setting. Two reference letters are required. Letters of reference should be submitted on your referrer's letterhead. Reference letters must be returned to you in sealed envelopes, signed across the flap by your referrer, or mailed directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions.
23. All applicants are required to submit an essay of approximately 500 words. This essay should detail your reasons for pursuing a LeBow degree; your short-term and long-term career plans; and how your background, experience, interests, and/or values, when combined with a LeBow College degree, will enable you to pursue these goals successfully.
24. The applicant must sign the application in the space provided. Your signature affirms that you have read and are familiar with the information and instructions, and intend to comply with the requirements Drexel University has established for admission to graduate business study, explained herein.
