Ph.D. Program

Thank you for choosing to explore Drexel's Ph.D. Program in Business. Our mission is to prepare students to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in business disciplines through excellence in scholarship and research.

This mission reflects our commitment to developing future intellectual leaders in their respective fields.We are very proud of the achievements of our students and we believe that their success is due to their intense desire to learn, a very talented faculty, and an innovative curriculum. Our newly revised program offers specializations in seven areas: accounting, decision sciences, economics, finance, management information systems, marketing, and organization and strategy.

We admit Ph.D. students each fall. The deadline for completed applications is February 1.

Our graduates have obtained faculty positions at a number of top universities such as: Michigan State University, George Washington University, North Carolina State University, University of Delaware, Villanova University, and Lehigh University.

We are very pleased to announce that Drexel University has approved a new “Ph.D. in Economics”, starting in Fall 2007.  This replaces the current “Ph.D. in Business with a Specialization in Economics”.  The Ph.D. in Economics is a focused program and the current fields of specialization are International Trade, Industrial Organization, and Open Economy Macro/International Finance.  For more information, read the Ph.D. in Economics announcement.
