Yes. No matter the format, we are proud that the Drexel LeBow MBA is one of the most comprehensive and widely respected programs in the Philadelphia area.
Students in a cohorted program complete the majority of coursework with the same group of students. Much of the coursework is completed in within groups. This promotes team building skills as well as the opportunity to learn from each other, in addition to what the professors teach.
Change of any kind can be difficult. Often students think of the MBA as their job. The end goal is what you are working for.
Drexel operates on a 10-week quarter system. The full time programs begin in September. One-year runs as a 12- or 15- month program and the two –year takes 18 months. Classes begin with a comprehensive orientation period. During this period students participate in a business simulation and business boot camp to prepare for the year ahead.

You are encouraged to attend an Open House or participate in one of our online program information sessions to find out more about the program. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact our admissions office prior to starting the application process at 215.895.6804 or mba@drexel.edu. Our staff members are available to answer questions and discuss the program.
Yes. Students can earn an MBA along with an MS in finance or and accounting, or along with a J.D. or an M.D.
For a completed application, students are required to submit the following:
Start your application now
- Completed Application Form – additional items will be submitted on separate sheets
- Transcripts – must be provided for every institution attended
- Referrals – two letters are required
- Standardized Test Scores – GMAT or GRE and TOEFL (if applicable)
- Professional Resume
- International students must possess a valid VISA that will allow them to travel outside the United States for the international trip.
All applicants to full-time MBA (not MS) programs are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Selection criteria include academic, professional and personal achievements, and potential for excellence in a management career, as demonstrated by length and quality of post-baccalaureate work experience, GPA, GMAT scores, and an interview with the admissions committee.
All MBA applicants are also eligible for the Drexel Alumni-Trustee Endorsement Grant. By having a Drexel alumnus complete the form that is within the application, and submitting this with the application, admitted applicants are eligible to receive $1,000 discount for that year.
Students who know that the One-Year MBA is their program of interest are encouraged to apply early and meet one of two early decision deadlines: October 1 or December 1. Students admitted by these dates, that have also submitted their "Intent to Enroll" forms by November 1 (for the October 1 deadline) or January 1 (for the December 1 deadline), will receive an Alumni Award in the amount of $5,000 and $3,000, respectively. These awards have been made possible through the generosity of LeBow College of Business alumni.
Federal Stafford Student Loans are available for domestic students or permanent residents. To be eligible, students need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) that is available at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Also, please visit the Drexel Graduate Studies Financial Aid Web site.
A minimum of four years post-baccalaureate work experience is strongly recommended but not required.
No. Our MBA students come from a diversity of backgrounds.
No. However, the Admissions Committee does pay particular attention to a candidate’s potential to succeed in quantitative-based courses. Our admissions committee also looks for a variety of abilities in all applicants, including critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
Not in the Full-time program.
In general, we do offer students the opportunity to defer their admission from one year to the next. Admitted applicants that have been awarded merit scholarships will have their awards reevaluated in the context of the applicant pool for the following admission year.
Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. Generally, admission decisions are made within three to four weeks after the application is complete. Available spaces as well as merit scholarships are limited so candidates are encouraged to apply early in the process.
Students whose native language is not English and who do not hold a bachelor’s degree from a Unites States institution are required to take and submit a score from the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). The official score report needs to be sent directly from the Education testing Service to Drexel before an admissions decision can be made. Students who will earn a bachelor’s degree from a Unites States institution before enrolling or have worked full-time in an English speaking country for more than two years may have this requirement waived.
