The Office of MBA Career Services creates a pioneering career development blueprint for One-Year MBA students through self-assessment resources, job search tools and organized employer networking activities. LeBow MBA Career ServicesŐ mission is to assist employers in recruiting from the College of Business while empowering students with the tools and knowledge to define and achieve their career goals. Throughout the academic yearstudents are engaged in a structured career development plan while participating in an Industry Profile Project to assess career awareness, as well as a Career Portfolio to target prospects for employment. Specific resources for short-term career goals include informational interviews with prospective employers, resume-writing assistance, interviewing preparation, salary negotiation workshops and an online resume directory that is circulated to over three hundred employers.
Throughout the academic year, LeBow College of Business sponsors forums, lectures, conferences and events. These special events enhance the educational experience and provide opportunities for students to meet and interact with fellow professionals. LeBow College of Business has graduated more than thirty thousand alumni. Students become members of this prestigious network of alumni employed by a variety of industries upon admission to the program.
To foster a sense of community and service, networking and social opportunities, a dedicated group of Drexel MBA students at LeBow College created the Drexel MBA Association (MBAA) in 2003. Recognized by both the College and Drexel University, MBAA offers important peer networking and recruiting services to the College. MBAA members help new MBA students acclimate to the academic environment, as well as assist the graduate program directors at information sessions. The MBAA also sponsors regular social events, community service events, field trips and workshops. Membership is open to all MBA, MS and PhD students and alumni of the LeBow College of Business. As members, students can take on leadership roles, build interpersonal skills, develop strategies, deploy budgets, create marketing campaigns, and explore organizational skills. Leadership opportunities are also available to students interested in demonstrating their abilities to work in a team environment to accomplish a greater goal.
