Distinguished Leadership
Taught by Drexel's distinguished professors and top practitioners, LeBow Summer Institutes stress leadership, teamwork, initiative, and effective communication. Participants' skill levels are put to the test in final competitions that showcase their new knowledge.
Prizes are awarded to winning teams and all participants receive a certificate of completion.
How to Enroll
LeBow Summer Institutes offer both commuter and residential options. Participants in commuter programs should live in southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey or northern Delaware and have transportation to and from Drexel University’s main campus in Philadelphia. All program candidates must submit:
• An online application form
• A typewritten essay (one or two pages)
• One letter of recommendation (must be from your guidance counselor)
• Scholarship application (optional)
Tuition
Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, the majority of program costs have been underwritten. Students selected for the programs will be required to submit a nonrefundable fee to cover tuition for the program: commuter programs - $500, residential program - $800. Additional scholarships are available to students demonstrating financial need.
Admission to the LeBow Summer Institute programs is competitive. Preference is given to students with outstanding GPAs, exceptional standardized test scores (PSAT or SAT are considered) and active involvement in extracurricular or community service activities.
