International Offerings for Undergraduate Students

International Co-op

The International Co-op gives you a different professional perspective and international work experience. International Co-op students experience working in the global economy and have the opportunity to develop relevant cross-cultural skills. Students alternate classes with full-time employment through University-approved employers. Generally, students are on co-op for a six-month period, alternating with six months of classroom study.

The International Co-op takes place during your designated co-op cycle, whether you have fall/winter or spring/summer. You will need to schedule an appointment at the Steinbright Career Development Center, SCDC for short, to meet with the International Co-op Coordinator for advising. Students are generally responsible for securing their own co-ops abroad. If you do not find a job you may have to return to the United States to finish your degree requirements.

Mark Gained Great International Experience

"This was a great position because of my exposure to an international work environment, exchange-rate risk, and dealing with interest rates. I very much liked my co-op because it was within my major and it was a great introduction to working with a large corporation."

Good Day! My name is Mark Spangler and I am a senior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. I just returned from an amazing co-op opportunity at DaimlerChrysler Services where I worked as an analyst for six months in the company's Germany office. I was very fortunate to be placed in my position working in the Portfolio Management department of Daimler Financial Services.
