Drexel University's main campus uses the quarter (term) system to conduct classes. The academic calendar will display important dates including university holidays and academic timelines.

Primary communication between LeBow College of Business and its adjunct faculty will occur via e-mail. Instructors must regularly check their University e-mail address for messages from the College and other constituencies of the University.
Faculty and students are provided with Banner Web (http://one.drexel.edu) accounts to gain access to their personal and academic information using a secure personal identification. Instructions on how to set up and manage your account can be found at http://www.drexel.edu/IRT/services/accounts.
Online courses use BBVista for course support. The instructor is responsible for learning how to use BBVista and for posting the course syllabus and other course material on the site. Additional information is available at http://www.lebow.drexel.edu/Resources/InstructionalTechnology/index.php.
A current change of grade form must be filled out and signed by the primary instructor of record. Change of grade forms for LeBow courses and sections should be submitted to department contact. Changes to grades older than one academic year must be accompanied by a detailed explanation of the reason for the change.
No drinking or eating is allowed in any computer laboratory. See "Technical Support" below for information on instructional needs.
For matters related to course add, drop, and withdrawal policies, visit the corresponding links under "Academic Policies" at http://www.drexel.edu/provost/policies.
Courses administered by LeBow College of Business are evaluated electronically via the online course evaluation system. Instructors will receive information via email by the eighth week of classes or by the fourth week of classes in case of accelerated courses. Reports will be available online after grades are submitted through Banner Web.
Constructing a course syllabus should be viewed as an important mechanism for communication between a faculty member and the students in her/his course. It also serves as a contract of sorts between the faculty member and the students (Sample Syllabus PDF | Word Doc). Course syllabi for accelerated, online, and off-campus courses must be made available to the Coordinator/Manager of the Program three weeks prior to the initiation of the course so that staff members can distribute them to students two weeks before classes begin.
Faculty members are responsible for reporting their grades each term by Banner Web 48 hours after the final examination is given. For more information, visit http://www.drexel.edu/provost/policies. A guide to grade submission is available at http://www.drexel.edu/registrar under the heading "Faculty & Staff."
To gain access to Drexel facilities, adjunct instructors can request a Dragon Card http://www.drexel.edu/dragoncard/obtaining.html from the Dragon Card office after they have been activated in the system by the human resources office. Please note that the card remains active only during the terms in which the adjunct is engaged in instruction.
If an instructor anticipates that she/he will be absent from a scheduled class because of illness or unavoidable circumstances, she/he must notify the College in advance (refer to contact information).
Except in the case of laboratory courses, the final exam must be given during Drexel's designated exam week. Take-home exams approved in advance by the department head or academic dean may be used and are due at the officially scheduled examination hour. The term's final exam schedule can be found in http://www.drexel.edu/registrar under "Faculty & Staff." Students are responsible for bringing their own writing material.
Courses are paid in three installments per term as follows:
You may opt for Direct Deposit by completing the form found at http://www.drexel.edu/depts/compt/payroll/DirectDeposit.pdf and submitting to Kim Bunting, Consultant, Recruitment. If you do not have direct deposit, checks must be picked up at the Cashier's Office (in the lobby of Drexel's main bldg, 3141 Chestnut St.). Payment information can be viewed in your DrexelOne account at https://one.drexel.edu/cp/home/displaylogin
Room assignments are posted at http://www.drexel.edu/src under "Faculty & Staff." You should check this site periodically since rooms may change due to enrollment fluctuations. Do not change classrooms without approval. Instructors must contact their respective department of any classroom change or issues prior to the start of the first class.
For special equipment needs and available software at LeBow's facilities, please contact our system administrator at 215-895-2113 or http://www.lebow.drexel.edu/Resources/LeBowTech/Services.php
Instructors can request a copy of the textbook being used in the class through the department contact. Please allow two weeks to receive the requested material. Book orders for students are done by the department to which the course belongs. Instructors of off-campus courses must provide the name of the textbook to be used in a course no later than one month prior to the initiation of the course.
