JD and MBA Dual Degree
The Kline School of Law and LeBow College of Business offer a joint JD/MBA degree program geared toward addressing the growing needs of attorneys to have the business skills for managing their law practices and related organizations.
How long is the JD/MA dual degree program?
Law students enrolled in the JD/MBA dual degree program are integrated into the full-time MBA curriculum. The program starts in September, includes a week of orientation and ends in June of the following year. The MBA degree will be completed during the second or third year, depending on co-op scheduling.
JD/MBA Program Curriculum
Graduate students in the JD/MBA program complete 45 credits towards their MBA, sharing six credits with the Kline School of Law for a total of 51 credits.
Students are eligible and encouraged to immerse themselves in their business education and take part in Career Services workshops, recruiting events and career counseling. There is also an opportunity to take part in consulting projects on multiple topics, including the healthcare industry.

JD/MBA Program Admissions Requirements
To be considered for the JD/MBA, students must:
- Complete their first year of law school with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 and be in good academic standing
- Receive the endorsement of the law school
- Submit a GMAT or GRE score as part of the MBA admissions process
Merit scholarships are available for qualified students.
