Undergraduate Co-op

Co-op is the hallmark of a Drexel education. Co-op gives you the opportunity to experience working full time in a variety of industries — a learning experience that transcends what can be taught in a classroom.

Most LeBow students gain 18 months of professional experience to add to their resume before they even graduate, giving them a huge advantage over students graduating from other universities.

 

Co-op is not an internship

How does a Drexel co-op differ from an internship?

Co-opInternship
Students are employed for a defined three-month or six-month period. Internships typically last two to three months.
 Co-op students do major related work within the guidelines of the academic program.  While a positive experience, interships are not necessarily major-related
 Most co-ops are paid positions.  Many internships are unpaid.
 Co-ops are for academic credit and part of a student's official transcript.  Internships are usually not a required part of the academic program
