LeBow Learning Communities

LeBow Learning Community members

Drexel LeBow’s learning communities comprise cohorts of first-year students who live together in the residence halls and/or attend many classes together. These programs are designed to ease the transition to university life, enhance student academic performance, provide opportunities for engagement and improve the overall student experience.

The learning communities contribute to student success at Drexel — and beyond — through opportunities to:

  • Engage with dedicated University professional staff and faculty advisors
  • Attend academic and professional workshops that supplement classroom learning
  • Expand leadership skills and experience
  • Support the community through hands-on civic engagement
  • Develop close relationships with classmates
  • Network with faculty, alumni and industry professionals

Residential Learning Communities

Drexel’s residential learning communities offer dedicated space in the University’s residence halls for first-year students to live and learn together. In LeBow, the residential learning community is known as the Business Living Learning Community (BLC). You must apply to become a member of the BLC through the University Housing application.

The Business Living Learning Community is for ambitious and high-achieving students with leadership acumen and an interest in community service.

Non-Residential Learning Communities

Non-residential learning communities offer students with shared interests the opportunity to learn together while living in a variety of locations both on and off campus.

The Business and Engineering Learning Community is an academic learning community open to all first-year Business and Engineering majors.

The Commuter Learning Community offers a great opportunity for students who live off-campus to make close friends with other business students who commute.

LeBow’s Global Learning Community provides students the opportunity to expand their perspective internationally while attending classes together.

A learning community created to support underrepresented students and their success at Drexel and as professionals.
