Co-op by the Numbers

More than 98 percent of eligible undergraduate students at Drexel participate in the co-op program, balancing full-time classes and up to three different internships during their time at Drexel. Students can choose from more than 1,600 employers in 33 states and 48 international locations — plus endless possibilities through self-arranged placements.

During the 2015-2016 academic year, 98.2% of eligible undergraduate LeBow students found co-op placement, in Philadelphia, across the country and around the world.

Average Weekly Salary

Unlike many college internship opportunities, the Drexel Co-op program offers students the opportunity to earn a salary while gaining professional experience. On average, last year, LeBow students made between $477 and $819 per week while on co-op. Average salaries per college range from $430-680 per week and range from $0-$795 by area of study across Drexel.

While not all co-op positions are paid, Drexel offers a number of additional funding options to assist students who accept unpaid co-op positions, participate in international co-op opportunities or choose to work on research or non-profit work.

Career Impact

On the senior exit survey, 61% of Drexel students from the class of 2016 accepted job offers before graduation and 82% were employed six months after graduation. Of all 2016 graduates, 31% accepted full-time employment with a former co-op employer.
