Have you ever wanted to ask your students to vote or answer a question in class, but counting raised hands was too cumbersome? Or have you ever wanted to do a mock quiz in preparation for an exam? A service that LeBow licenses called Poll Everywhere allows faculty to create poll questions and embed them right into their presentation slides. When the poll appears, students can respond to the question via their cell phone or computing device, and results can be shown instantly.

In this workshop faculty will see Poll Everywhere demonstrated, hear from other faculty who have used polling, and learn how this tool can help engage your students during lectures. Box lunches will be provided, but you must register by 10:00 AM on Monday, April 21 to be added in the lunch count. If you register after that or don’t want a box lunch, choose the “Attend in Person (but without a lunch)” option.

Who should attend: LeBow College of Business full-time/part-time/adjunct faculty or PhD candidates who are teaching face-to-face classes. Interested LCB staff are also welcome. Be sure to bring your own mobile device (laptop, cell phone, smart phone, tablet) so that you can participate in the poll demonstration!

UPDATE: 4/23/14: Due to no registrations for remote attendance, this event will no longer be webcast. A recording of the event can be made available after the workshop; send an email to intech@lebow.drexel.edu for that recording link.
