Introduction to FactSet

For more than 35 years, financial professionals worldwide have relied on FactSet to deliver the financial data and software solutions they need to drive their analysis. With FactSet’s Academic Package, professors, faculty and students have access to the same tools to utilize in coursework, business libraries, trading rooms and student investment funds.

The training session will first cover FactSet as a company, how to navigate the software and our help resources. Then we will provide an overview of each section of analysis - intraday market information & news, monitoring quote information for a group of stocks, using our interactive charting tool, an overview of economics, industry-level analysis, and security-level reports including equity and debt. Finally, we will cover how to access pre-canned reports in our screening tools, portfolio analytics, and Excel add-in, which can be used to create custom models and reports.
