CAN DU Alumni Fall Service Project at Lee Cultural Center

Do you have a passion for community service and giving back?

If so, join Drexel alumni and friends for the Community Alumni Network at Drexel University’s (CAN DU) fall service project at the Lee Cultural Center.

REGISTER TODAY:

CAN DU volunteers will make an impact by working to enhance the Lee Cultural Center’s exterior and interior facilities in preparation for fall and winter after-school programs. Projects will include trash and debris clean-up, fall landscaping and beautification projects, creating a mini-library for the students’ use, and various physical improvements to the building facilities.

The day will kick off with a volunteer breakfast buffet at Drexel Pizza. Transportation will be provided from breakfast to the Lee Cultural Center. Refreshments will be available on-site throughout the morning and volunteers will receive a complimentary commemorative CAN DU t-shirt!

Itinerary

•	Saturday, October 25, 2014
•	8 a.m. Volunteer Registration, Orientation & Breakfast
o	Drexel Pizza |107 North 33rd Street | Philadelphia, PA 19104

•	9 to 11 a.m. Service Project
o	Lee Cultural Center |  4328 Haverford Avenue | Philadelphia, PA 19104 

•	11 a.m. Wrap-up and Refreshments

•	Complimentary parking will be available for volunteers at the Drexel University Parking Garage. Please do not drive directly to the Lee Cultural Center, as parking is extremely limited. Drexel shuttle buses will transport volunteers to and from campus and the Lee Cultural Center. The Garage is located at 34th and Market Streets, with its entrance located between 33rd and 34th Streets on Ludlow Street (one block south of Market).

About the Lee Cultural Center

Located directly behind the University’s Vidas Athletic Complex, the Lee Cultural Center is a 9.4-acre recreation and community activity hub that services Drexel’s West Philadelphia neighbors with after-school programming, camps, dance classes, sport courts and fields, a public pool and more.
