Come and learn about the benefits and process of pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation with CFA Society Philadelphia members. This informative lunch and learn event will answer the questions you have about the CFA and the overall examination process.

Samuel Omolewu, CFA: Strategic Sourcing Manager Mr Omolewu has served in various roles in the Information and Communications Technology Sector over the last 14 years. Currently, Mr Omolewu advises Enterprise buyers in sourcing investments in digital, cloud, big data and cyber security solutions. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Mr Omolewu overseas the development of market intelligence and strategies to increase competition for requirements the IT Professional Services category, which is now valued at over $6 billion in annual operational and capital expenditure after the consultancy was purchased by Accenture. In most cases, Mr Omolewu directly negotiates commercial terms directly with companies in the Systems Integration space on behalf of clients. Before Accenture, Mr Omolewu worked as an IT Procurement Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and a Systems Engineer with the CIA. Prior to that, he served as an Electrical Engineer at Corning Inc. (NASDAQ: GLW) Samuel holds a B.S in Electrical Engineering, an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business (University of Maryland) and is an active member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of Philadelphia.

Sean Heberling, CFA: Director of Research Mr. Heberling spent over two years developing institutional equity and high yield corporate bond trading business at Morgan Stanley in New York City. He was also President of a family office focused upon value-oriented, event-driven opportunities, public and private, both as an investor and an owner. He was a Senior Analyst for an independent provider of research on mining companies to institutional investors, and he was a Senior Analyst for a multi-strategy hedge fund in Stamford, CT with a $75 billion balance sheet. Mr. Heberling worked as a Research Analyst for Ivy Asset Management, which grew to $18 billion in assets after it was purchased by the Bank of New York. Prior to this, Mr. Heberling was a Senior Consultant for publicly traded Navigant Consulting, where he designed complex analyses for mass tort litigation. Mr. Heberling carries the CFA designation, and he sits on several committees at the CFA Society of Philadelphia. Mr. Heberling is also a member of the Philadelphia Securities Association, he is a member of USA Triathlon, and he regularly competes in Sprint, Olympic and 70.3 events throughout North America. Mr. Heberling received his BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Villanova University. His registrations include the Series 7 and 66.

Aaron Hartmann, Drexel 2016 Graduating Senior Mr. Hartmann is currently a senior at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. He is pursuing two degrees a BSBA majoring in Finance and a BS in Economics and is also a member of the Pennoni Honors College. He has completed three co-ops at asset management firms including BlackRock, Inc. , Turner Investments, L.P. , and PNC Capital Advisors. He was an analyst for the Dragon Fund, Drexel’s student run investment portfolio that manages over $1,000,000 of Drexel’s endowment. He has served as an executive board member and Treasurer of the Drexel Economics Society. Aaron aspires to be an equity analyst, and ultimately a portfolio manager, for either an institutional investment firm or hedge fund. He passed the Level 1 examination of the CFA program this past December. After graduating Aaron will be the first student from Drexel University to join PNC Asset Management’s Institutional Asset Management Analyst Rotation Program.
