PhD economics candidate Tom Zylkin has been selected for the prestigious Lindau Award for outstanding young scholars in the field of economics. Zylkin will attend the 5th Lindau Meeting of the Winners of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel in Lindau, Germany, this August.

In total, more than 25,000 young scientists from 80 countries have attended the Nobel Laureate Meetings since 1951. Each of them belongs to the young scientific elite of their respective countries and have passed a multi-stage international selection procedure. The Lindau Meetings contribute to the establishment of international networks of scientific excellence, irrespective of political, religious or other barriers. These networks extend into the future and are sustained by an expanding alumni network.
