Eugenia Chalbaud-Santeliz

September 26, 2014

Eugenia Chalbaud-Santeliz was elated when she learned she had earned an academic scholarship to attend Drexel LeBow. Her parents were elated, too, because this afforded her an opportunity to not only attend a highly reputable American business school in a great city, but also a chance for Eugenia to get a break from the political unrest in her home country of Venezuela.

A pre-junior majoring in marketing and international business, Eugenia recently finished her first co-op at Heffler, Radetich & Saitta LLP, an accounting firm and consultancy. “I learned a lot. You get a real taste of life when you are on co-op, and by the time you get back to class, it’s like a breath of fresh air! With the start of fall term, I am really enjoying being back on this bustling campus full of people.”

One of Eugenia’s favorite things about the College is LeBow BRIDGE, a group for select minority students. Here, she’s made many friends and received extra help with classes when needed. “I do enjoy the many options LeBow offers in terms of both classes and resources. There is always something going on here.”

Asked to name a favorite professor, the best she could do was narrow her list to two: “My Business 101 professors Chris Finnin and Jodi Cataline made class really fun.”

She’s also an avid athlete (Drexel Crew, cycling team, and triathalon team) and is featured in an article about the rise of cycling, “Changing Gears,” in the current issue of Drexel LeBow’s Market Street magazine.
