How has COVID-19 impacted Drexel’s R&D capabilities?

In May, Drexel University’s Office of Research and Innovation published the Guidelines for Ramping Up Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities to safely ramp up research, scholarly and creative activities (“research”) that could not occur remotely. Based on these guidelines, Drexel University has entered “Ramp Up” Phase 2. In Phase 2, population density in on-campus research settings should not exceed 66% of normal operations at any time. Read more about Phase 2 Details.

As an R1 research university, Drexel University formed the COVID-19 Research & Innovation Collaborative with the goal of developing new research and innovation programs based in the strengths of Drexel and our partners and scientific and societal needs.

The Drexel Solutions Institute understands that research and innovation are vital now more than ever as industries accelerate their focus on testing, treatment and ultimately, prevention of COVID-19.

Ongoing research projects with the Drexel Solutions Institute are currently taking place and DSI continues to work with our corporate partners to leverage Drexel’s R1 research capabilities virtually to assist with their R&D needs in a time-sensitive manner as applicable.
