Corporate governance involves balancing the interests of a company’s many stakeholders, such as shareholders, management, customers, suppliers, financiers, government and the community. In 2002 Sarbannes-Oxley required public corporations to enhance the role of Audit Committees to help a corporation manage its resources. What exactly is the role of an audit committee member? How do they enhance corporate governance?

Mr. Ed Katz, CPA and Board Director and Ms. Patricia Connolly, Executive Director of the Center for Corporate Governance, LeBow College of Business will discuss the various functions involved in corporate governance and how they meet the needs of the stakeholders.
