Case analysis is a unique way of learning in business school. But reading a business case is not like reading a great work of literature. Preparing a case analysis for class discussion requires a different set of skills. In this session, we will review how to read a case, apply these skills to a typical Harvard Business School Case, and then participate in a class discussion of the case. Participants will be assigned a Harvard Business School Case (see below) before the class and should read the case prior to the class. In other words, before class read the case as if it were a novel or a blog.
Read detailed instructions for purchasing the Harvard Business School Case. You will need to set up an account at Harvard Business School Publishing, but you will also need an account for future classes as well. The case costs $4.25 each.
