8 minutes and 46 seconds: the length of time that George Floyd tried to breathe under the weight of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who did not yield his pressure despite Floyd’s pleas. It is also the length of time we invite LeBow faculty, staff, students and alumni to speak their truth regarding the systemic injustice affecting the Black community.

In those 8 minutes, George Floyd was able to speak those powerful words: “I CAN’T BREATHE.” What is your “I CAN’T” statement? “I CAN’T take it anymore… I CAN’T believe this is happening again… I CAN’T stop fighting this fight… I CAN’T believe that I have to have this conversation with my children…” Share with us.
