She has extens ive experience in tax and financial services\nfor the family-owned and ent repreneurially driven business. Jane\nconsults with public and privately o wned companies and provides\nfinancial counseling to both corporate and in dividuals.\n\nIn 1987\, while a partner in the national accounting firm of Laventhol\n& Horwath\, Jane became the first woman tax partner of any Big Eight\nfirm in Philadelphia. In 1990\, she was a founding shareholder of D&S.\nAs CEO\, she leads over 70 employees plus two active affiliates and\ nrelated business operations. She is responsible for strategic\ninitiative s\, business development and professional career development\nwhile contin uing to service complex family-owned and closely-held\nbusinesses. Jane ha s proven expertise in retail\, real estate\,\ndistribution and healthcare and sophisticated wealth planning\ntechniques and board governance. She is a member of the American and\nPennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.\n\nJane’s civic and community service includes serving as a trustee of\nTemple University\, where she chairs the Health Enterprise C ommittee.\nShe also sits as a trustee of Salus University\, where she chai rs the\nFinance Committee. She served as chair of the board of Temple\nUni versity Health System for 5 years from 2008-2013 and continues as a\nmembe r of the Board of Directors chairing the Finance and Investment\nCommittee . Jane is also the current chair of the board at Temple\nUniversity Hospit al.\n\nIn 2015\, Jane joined the board of Penn National Gaming\, Inc. (NAS DAQ:\nPENN). There she serves as chair of the Audit Committee. PENN owns a nd\noperates casinos and racetracks. In 2016\, she was elected to the boar d\nof Myers International (NYSE: MYE)\, an international manufacturer of\n polymer products for industrial\, agricultural\, automotive\, commercial\, \nand consumer markets. She also serves on the board of Mathematica\nPolic y Research and is a member of its Audit Committee. Previously\,\nJane was a member of the board of The Pep Boys (NYSE:PBY) from\n2002-2016. She serv ed as chair of the Audit Committee and a member of\nthe Nominations and Go vernance Committee. PBY was a New York Stock\nExchange company with over $ 2B in sales when it was sold to a private\nfirm in 2016.\n\nJane is active in civic matters as a member of the Philadelphia 2016\nDNC Host Committee \, Mayor Rendell’s 1992 Transition Team\, and the\nCommittee for Judicia l and U.S. Attorney Nominations for the Eastern\nDistrict of PA (1993-95). From 1990-92\, She was a full-time professor\nat Temple University\, teac hing taxation in the master’s program and\nmanagerial accounting as part of the undergraduate curriculum. Jane is\nthe first woman regular host of Money Matters TV\, a locally produced\nfinancial-focused program.\n\nJane is a 2016 recipient of the Take the Lead Award from the Girl\nScouts of E astern PA\, the 2014 Temple University Hospital Diamond\nAward and a 2013 inaugural recipient of the Philadelphia Business\nJournal Outstanding Dire ctors Award. In 2006 Jane received the PA Best\n50 Women in Business Award and the Pinnacle Award. And in 2010\, she\nwas honored by the Philadelphi a Business Journal as a Woman of\nDistinction.
