Thorburn is the Research Chair Professor of Finan ce at the\nNorwegian School of Economics and a Visiting Professor at The W harton\nSchool of University of Pennsylvania. She was previously a faculty \nmember at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Her\nresearc h\, which focuses on corporate governance\, takeovers\,\nbankruptcy\, and raising capital\, is regularly published in the top\nacademic journals.
