DESCRIPTION: \n\nHealthcare decision-making problems are multi-faceted and 
 require a\nrobust human-technology interaction as a high-reliability syste
 m.\nWhile healthcare systems collect tremendous amounts of data supported\
 nto better understand the care delivery and decision making processes\,\nt
 ransforming the data into knowledge\, and knowledge into actionable\ninsig
 ht remain challenging. The objective of the Research Center for\nApplied H
 ealthcare Analytics and Decision Sciences is to be the\ncatalyst of health
 care analytics research connecting different\ndisciplines within the Drexe
 l research community and Hahnemann\nUniversity Hospital by creating a data
  ecosystem to support: i)\nproviders to leverage data to inform clinical d
 ecisions and advance\npatient care\, ii) researchers to seek for large-sca
 le grant funding\,\nand iii) students to be trained in multi-disciplinary 
 approaches. In\nthis presentation\, we present a selection of research stu
 dies that our\nmultidisciplinary team conducted combining our skillsets of
  data\nmanagement\, engineering\, computer science\, human factors\, desig
 n\, and\nclinical translational research to tackle real-world health syste
 ms\nproblems and providing hands-on learning opportunities and mentoring\n
