 h (often published in partnership with independent\, unpaid\nacademics) to
  help shape company policy. As part of the Policy\nDepartment\, the Econom
 ics team has a mandate to optimize for long term\noutcomes that make busin
 ess sense without compromising integrity.\n\nUber Economics seeks advanced
  economics students with experience\nconducting independent econometric re
 search to bring analytical and\neconomic rigor as the company addresses im
 portant questions relating\nto marketplaces\, regulation\, transportation 
 policy\, food policy\, urban\nplanning\, and more. PhDs are welcome\, and 
 candidates finishing their\nundergraduate or Master’s degree can join on
  a permanent career path\nor with the intention of attending graduate scho
 ol in economics two or\nmore years later.\n
