A multiple case study\napproach has bee n chosen as the principal methodology. The article\ngives special consider ation to mechanisms underlying the impacts of\nblockchain on interfirm gov ernance structures in the food and beverage\nindustry. It explains how blo ckchain may reduce uncertainty in the\nactions of various supply chain par ticipants in this industry. The\narticle shows how blockchain is likely to make dependence among supply\nchain partners more symmetric thereby reduc ing opportunism.
