Ski lls essential to\nsuccess in business include strong leadership and analyt ical skills\ncombined with the ability to communicate effectively. Student s will\nexplore a variety of topics through a case study analysis in an\ni ntegrated approach to the understanding of different business\ndisciplines .\n\nThis course will introduce students to business management\, the\nlan guage of business\, strategy\, leadership\, teamwork\, financial\nanalysis \, and decision making all while working through an integrated\ncase study on Comcast. Students will also explore current business\nissues such as i nnovation\, globalization\, and technology with “real\nworld” exposure . Students will meet with guest speakers from a\nvariety of business backg rounds who are helping to shape the business\nworld.\n\nWorking in teams\, students will engage in a business simulation and\nexperience the power a nd necessity of teamwork. As part of the case\nstudy analysis\, students w ill also research\, analyze\, and recommend\nstrategies. All learning acti vities will culminate in an oral team\npresentation at the conclusion of t he two-day program.\n\nUpon successful completion of the course\, students will receive 2\ncredits\, which can be used toward a free elective. There is no\nadditional tuition charge. However\, there is a $300 charge to cov er\nmeals and course materials.
