DESCRIPTION: \n\nThe sport\, leisure\, and recreation industries continue t
 o expand\nglobally\, creating more opportunities for future sport managers
 . This\nprogram will provide students with the baseline knowledge necessar
 y\nfor a career in European/international sport management. Students will\
 nlearn about fundamental/contemporary issues in European sport\nmanagement
 \, matters related to governance\, and management essentials\nof European/
 international sport.\n\nThe course culminates in an Intensive Course Abroa
 d hosted by the\nCentre for Law and Economics of Sport (CDES) at the Unive
 rsity of\nLimoges\, in France. In France\, students will gain a theoretica
 l and\npractical understanding of concepts learned throughout the course\n
 using a comparative approach delivered by CDES faculty. Students will\ntra
 vel to Paris to meet with French sport management industry\nofficials and 
 local experts as part of supplementing and supporting\nconcepts learned th
 roughout the course.\n
