T his competition\nis an opportunity. It is also an opportunity to refine pr esentation\nskills and network with alumni and local professionals who ser ve as\nthe coaches and judges.\n\nKICKOFF EVENT\n\nThere is a mandatory ki ckoff event that one member of each group must\nattend in person or via zo om session to meet their teammates and get\nthe case materials on Monday\, February 10 from 4-6 p.m. Check the\nevents calendar for registration and further details.\n\nDAY OF THE COMPETITION\n\nRegistration will take plac e from 8-8:30 a.m. Participants will have a\nchance to enjoy a continental breakfast and get to know team members\nand meet their coaches. The progr am will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a\nguest speaker who will provide vital in formation for the case.\n\nEach team will have 3.5 hours (9 a.m. -12:30 p. m.) to review the case\nand critical information just provided\, formulate their response to\nthe case questions and develop a PowerPoint-based pres entation. A box\nlunch will be provided at noon so teams may continue to w ork on their\npresentations. Each team must submit an electronic copy of t heir\npresentation by 12:30 p.m. No changes may be made to teams’\nPower Point presentations after the 12:30 p.m. submission deadline.\n\nTeams wil l be randomly assigned a 15-minute slot with one of our two\npanels of jud ges to present their results. Team presentations will be\nin 20-minute int ervals to allow transitions between 1:00 p.m. and 3:30\np.m. The top four teams will be announced at the conclusion of the\nfirst round of judging. Immediately following this\, we will release\nthe rest of the group and th e top four teams will again be randomly\nassigned for the final round of j udging. Awards will be presented as\nsoon as the judges have reached a dec ision.\n\nKEY DATES\n\nRegistration Deadline: February 4\, 2020\, Midnight \n\n * Kick-off Event: February 10\, 2020\, 4 p.m.-6 p.m.\n * Competition Date: February 14\, 2020\, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.\n\nTEAM STRUCTURE\n\nTeams will b e assigned by the accounting department and align with the\nbelow requirem ents:\n\n * Four students per team\n * At least 1 Accounting Major\, 1 upp erclassman or MS student\, and 1\nunderclassman per team\n * A limit of 10 case teams\, so the first 40 eligible students who\nsign up and are assig ned to teams will receive one of the available\nspots.\n\nMONETARY PRIZES AWARDED TO TOP TEAMS.\n\nREGISTRATION AND REQUIREMENTS\n\nDue to the natur e of the competition\, participation is limited\; not\nevery application w ill be accepted into the competition.\n\nYou will be notified if you have been accepted into the competition no\nlater than February 8\, 2020.\n\nTo register please complete the registration form.
