 \n\nBUSNT180 - Exploring Business & Leadership is a two-day introductory\n
 course designed to provide incoming LeBow College of Business freshmen\na 
 head start on college by allowing them to explore key business\nconcepts t
 hat will prepare them to tackle the course work ahead.\n\nStudents will le
 arn the basics of various business topics essential to\nnavigate today’s
  fast changing business world. Skills essential to\nsuccess in business in
 clude strong leadership and analytical skills\ncombined with the ability t
 o communicate effectively. Students will\nexplore a variety of topics thro
 ugh a case study analysis in an\nintegrated approach to the understanding 
 of different business\ndisciplines.\n\nThis course will introduce students
  to business management\, the\nlanguage of business\, strategy\, leadershi
 p\, teamwork\, financial\nanalysis\, and decision making all while working
  through an integrated\ncase study on Comcast. Students will also explore 
 current business\nissues such as innovation\, globalization\, and technolo
 gy with “real\nworld” exposure. Students will meet with guest speakers
  from a\nvariety of business backgrounds who are helping to shape the busi
 ness\nworld.\n\nWorking in teams\, students will engage in a business simu
 lation and\nexperience the power and necessity of teamwork. As part of the
  case\nstudy analysis\, students will also research\, analyze\, and recomm
 end\nstrategies. All learning activities will culminate in an oral team\np
 resentation at the conclusion of the two-day program.\n\nUpon successful c
 ompletion of the course\, students will receive 2\ncredits\, which can be 
 used toward a free elective. There is no\nadditional tuition charge. Howev
 er\, there is a $400 charge to cover\nmeals and course materials. Students
  who have room assignments for the\nFall term will move into the residence
  halls Thursday\, September 10th\nbetween 8 a.m. - 11am. There is no addit
 ional charge for early\nmove-in.\n\n_NOTE: If you plan to live on campus a
 nd participate in this course\,\nyou must move in during this time._\n\nRE
