 STERED\nPARTICIPANTS.\n\nTableau is business intelligence/data visualizati
 on software. It’s\nincreasingly used in a variety of industries includin
 g those related\nto public policy and public administration\, like nonprof
 its and the\ngovernment\, as well as by corporations.\n\nThe major advanta
 ge of Tableau over a program like Excel\, which can\nalso make graphs\, is
  that Tableau lets you build graphics that are\nconnected to each other an
 d that users can interact with. The major\nadvantage of Tableau over progr
 amming languages is that\, even without\na programming background\, you ca
 n quickly get up to speed and be\nproducing useful presentations in Tablea
 u.\n\nTopics will include (but not limited to):\n\n * Connecting to Data\n
  * Visual Analytics\n * Calculations\n * Mapping\n * Dashboards and Storie
 s\n\nThis two hour session is intended for those who are new Tableau. No\n
 background in data analysis or programming is necessary. We work will\nrea
 l world data that will be provided before the start of the session.\n\n_Pr
 ior to the session\, students should have an installed and running\napplic
 ation of Tableau Desktop on a PC or Mac on their personal\nlaptops_\n\nReq
 uirements: Tableau (2019.1 or higher)\n\nStudents can get Tableau for free
