DESCRIPTION: \n\nWednesday\, Dec. 21\, is the deadline to submit a paper to
  this annual\,\ninvitation-only conference. The conference is being hosted
  by the Raj\n& Kamla Governance Institute at Drexel University in collabor
 ation\nwith the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). The\nconfe
 rence highlights the profound research by top professors around\nthe world
  on issues related to corporate governance and the boardroom.\n\n2023 ACAD
 EMIC CONFERENCE \nApril 14\, 2023\n\nThe Raj & Kamla Gupta Governance Inst
 itute invites you to join us for\nour 16th Annual Corporate Governance Con
 ference. We invite you to\nsubmit papers in any area related to corporate 
 governance\, which\nincludes (but is not restricted to) topics such as boa
 rds of\ndirectors\, compensation\, shareholder activism\, mergers\, debt a
 s a form\nof governance\, ESG-related issues\, political influences on gov
 ernance\,\netc.\n\nAt this point\, we are hoping to hold the conference in
  person. The\nconference will take place on Friday\, April 14\, with a pre
 -conference\ndinner the preceding Thursday evening. Paper acceptance notic
 es will\ngo out in early February. Two best paper awards will be sponsored
  by\nWRDS and ETF Global for a $1000 and $500 respectively.\n\nSUBMISSION 
 INSTRUCTIONS:\n\n * To be eligible for submission\, the paper must still b
 e at a\nrevisable stage (i.e.\, neither published nor so close to publicat
 ion\nthat significant changes are not feasible) by the date of the\nconfer
 ence.\n * When uploading your paper please note\, your paper MUST be saved
 \nwith the following file name: All Authors’ Last Names_Paper\nTitle.pdf
 . Submitting Author’s name should be first and in all caps\nwith the sho
 rtened title of the paper following after an underscore.\nFor example: WAL
 KLING-Schlingemann-Stulz_Corporate Focusing and\nInternal Capital Markets.

 vent\, you will recieve an email\nconfirmation with the link to submit you
 r paper.\n * If you are submitting more than one paper\, please either (1)
  have\na co-author submit the second paper or (2) zip the multiple papers\
 ninto a single file. For those choosing the second option\, please note\nt
