Student teams analyze a real-life inspired case\nand then present their comprehensive analysis and solutions to a pan el\nof judges. The top six teams earn a prize of a VISA gift card. The\nst udents and local area business leaders\, who volunteer as team\ncoaches an d judges\, build network connections\, friendships and\nmentoring relation ships that extend beyond the event.\n\nKICKOFF EVENT\n\nThere is a live ma ndatory kickoff for participants to meet their\nteammates and get the case materials on Monday\, Feb. 6\, from 5 to 6\np.m. EST. A link to a recordi ng of the event will be made available to\nall teams.\n\nDAY OF THE COMPET ITION\n\nCheck in will take place from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. EST. Participan ts\nwill have a chance to meet their coaches. The program will begin at\n8 :30 a.m. with a guest speaker who will provide inspiration for the\ncast s olution.\n\nLight breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided to all partic ipants\nand volunteers.\n\nEach team will have three and a half hours (9 a .m.–12:30 p.m. EST)\nto review the case and critical information provide d\, formulate their\nresponse to the case questions and develop a PowerPoi nt-based\npresentation. Each team must submit an electronic copy of their\ npresentation by 12:30 p.m. EST. No changes may be made to teams’\nPower Point presentations after the 12:30 p.m. EST submission deadline.\n\nTeams will be randomly assigned a 15-minute slot with one of our panel\nof judg es to present their results. Teams have a strict five minutes\nto present\ , followed by 10 minutes of questions from the judges. Team\npresentations will be in 20-minute intervals to allow transitions\nbetween 1 p.m. and 3 :40 p.m. EST. The top six teams will be announced\nat the conclusion of th e first round of judging. Immediately following\nthis\, we will release th e rest of the group and the top six teams will\nrespond to questions from all judges in the final five-minute round of\njudging. Awards will be pres ented as soon as the judges have reached a\ndecision.\n\nKEY DATES\n\nRegi stration Deadline: Feb. 1\, 2023\, midnight EST\n\n * Kickoff Event: Feb. 6\, 2023\, 4–6 p.m. EST\n * Competition Date: Feb. 10\, 2023\, 8 a.m.– 4 p.m. EST\n\nTEAM STRUCTURE\n\nStudents can request to be on a team after registering by emailing\nMichele Sykes (mms25@drexel.edu)\, or teams will be assigned by the\naccounting department and align with the below requir ements:\n\n * Four students per team\n * At least one accounting major\, o ne upperclassman or MS student and\none underclassman per team\n * A limit of 15 case teams\, so the first 60 eligible students who\nsign up and are assigned to teams will receive one of the available\nspots\n\nPRIZES\n\nM onetary prizes will be awarded to the top teams.\n\nREGISTRATION AND REQUI REMENTS\n\nDue to the nature of the competition\, participation is limited \; not\nevery application can be accepted into the competition.\n\nYou wil l be notified if you have been accepted into the competition no\nlater tha n Feb. 5\, 2023.\n\nTo register\, please complete the registration form.
