Stu dent teams\nanalyze a real-life–inspired case and then present their\nco mprehensive analysis and solutions to a panel of judges. The top six\nteam s earn a prize of a VISA gift card. The students and local area\nbusiness leaders\, who volunteer as team coaches and judges\, build\nnetwork connec tions\, friendships and mentoring relationships that\nextend beyond the ev ent.\n\nKICKOFF EVENT\n\nThere is a live mandatory kickoff for participant s to meet their\nteammates and get the case materials on Monday\, Feb. 5\, from 5-7 p.m.\nEST. A link to a recording of the event will be made avail able to all\nteams.\n\nDAY OF THE COMPETITION\n\nCheck in will take place from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. EST. Participants\nwill have a chance to meet the ir coaches. The program will begin at\n8:30 a.m. with a guest speaker who will provide inspiration for the\ncase solution.\n\nLight breakfast and bo xed lunch will be provided to all participants\nand volunteers.\n\nEach te am will have three and a half hours (9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. EST)\nto review t he case and critical information provided\, formulate their\nresponse to t he case questions and develop a PowerPoint-based\npresentation. Each team must submit an electronic copy of their\npresentation by 12:30 p.m. EST. N o changes may be made to teams’\nPowerPoint presentations after the 12:3 0 p.m. EST submission deadline.\n\nTeams will be randomly assigned a 15-mi nute slot with one of our panel\nof judges to present their results. Teams have a strict five minutes\nto present\, followed by 10 minutes of questi ons from the judges. Team\npresentations will be in 20-minute intervals to allow transitions\nbetween 1 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. EST. The top six teams wi ll be announced\nat the conclusion of the first round of judging. Immediat ely following\nthis\, we will release the rest of the group and the top si x teams will\nrespond to questions from all judges in the final five-minut e round of\njudging.
