SUMMARY:Datathon for Graduate Students featuring Bloomberg
DESCRIPTION: \n\nDATATHON OVERVIEW\n\nDrexel LeBow’s annual datathon is a
 n analytics competition that\ntasks teams of graduate students with levera
 ging data to derive\ninsights for an organization’s business challenge. 
 During this\none-day event\, teams of graduate students turn a business pr
 oblem into\na series of statistical questions\, design a technical approac
 h\, and\nuse data analysis and technology skills to develop findings. Stud
 ents\nwill interact with the organization throughout the day\, showcasing\
 ntheir skills and approaches.\n\nAt the conclusion of the datathon\, teams
  will present their insights\nto a panel of judges comprising Bloomberg re
 presentatives and Drexel\nLeBow faculty\, sharing data-driven insights rel
 ated to the business\nproblem\, the scope of their analyses\, technical ch
 allenges and overall\nsolutions.\n\nStudents use their own laptops and Mur
 ugan Anandarajan\, PhD\, professor\nof decision sciences and MIS\, will se
 rve as the faculty advisor\noverseeing the challenge.\n\nPARTICIPANT ELIGI
 BILITY\n\nTo be eligible to participate\, team members must be currently e
 nrolled\ngraduate students interested or proficient in core techniques for
 \nbusiness analytics\, such as data and statistical modeling. Students\nar
 e invited to form teams of 5 to 7 members and should email their\nteam ros
 ters to Dornella Harvey at dh3248@drexel.edu. The Center for\nApplied AI a
 nd Business Analytics will form teams for any students who\nwould like to 
 participate and are in need of team members.\n\nDATATHON CHALLENGE\n\nSumm
 ary and specifics of the datathon challenge are forthcoming.\n\nPARTICIPAN
 T ELIGIBILITY\n\nStudents must register by MONDAY\, JANUARY 27\, 2025\, to
  participate in\nthe event.\n
