Student\ntea ms analyze a real-life–inspired case and then present their\ncomprehensi ve analysis and solutions to a panel of judges. The top six\nteams earn gi ft card prizes. Students and local area business leader\nvolunteers build network connections\, friendships and mentoring\nrelationships that extend beyond the event.\n\nKICKOFF EVENT\n\nThere is MANDATORY kickoff for part icipants to meet their teammates\nand get the case materials on Monday\, F eb. 9\, from 5–6:30 p.m. EST.\nParticipants will also receive some tips. There will also be a zoom\nlink available for those that cannot make it t o campus. A link to a\nrecording of the event will be made available to al l teams.\n\nDAY OF THE COMPETITION\n\nLight breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided to all participants\nand volunteers.\n\nCheck in is from 8 a. m. to 8:30 a.m. EST. The program begins at 8:30\na.m. with a guest speaker providing inspiration for the case solution.\n\nEach team will have three and a half hours (9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. EST)\nto review the case and critic al information provided that morning\,\nupdate their response to the case questions\, and finalize their\nPowerPoint-based presentation. Each team m ust submit an electronic\ncopy of their presentation by 12:30 p.m. EST. No changes may be made\nto teams’ PowerPoint presentations after the 12:30 p.m. EST\nsubmission deadline.\n\nTeams will be randomly assigned a time slot with one of our judging\npanels to present their results between 1 p. m. and 3:40 p.m. EST for\nthe first round. Teams will have a strict 10 min utes to present plus 5\nminutes of questions from the judges\, followed by a 5-minute interval\nto transition between teams. The top six teams movin g on to the finals\nwill be announced at the conclusion of the first round of judging. The\nteams not in the finals may leave at this point. In the final round\,\nthe top six teams will present their findings and recommend ations\nagain to a new panel of judges . Awards will be presented as soon as\nthe judges have ranked the top 6 teams.\n\nKEY DATES\n\n * REGISTRATIO N DEADLINE: JAN 27\, 2026\, 11:59 P.M. EST\n\nTEAM STRUCTURE\n\nStudents can request to be on a specific team when registering or\nindicate they would like to be on a team assigned by the accounting\ndepartment. All teams must meet the below requirements:\n \n * Four students per team\n * At least one accounting major\, one upperc lassman or MS student\,\nand one underclassman per team\n\nPRIZES\n\nGift card prizes will be awarded to the top 6 teams.\n\nREGISTRATION AND REQUIR EMENTS\n\nDue to the nature of the competition\, participation is limited. The\nfirst 60 eligible students who sign up and are assigned to teams wil l\nreceive one of the available spots\; not every application can be\nacce pted into the competition.\n\nYou will be notified if you have been accept ed into the competition no\nlater than Jan. 30\, 2026.
