 mmemorates Veterans Day with a special\nfocus on our military-connected st
 udents\, faculty\, professional staff\nand alumni who have served their co
 untry. This year\, we are proud to\nhave CAPTAIN CHRISTOPHER J. FERGUSON (
 BS\, COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING\,\n1984\; HONORARY DEGREE\, 2009) as our featu
 red speaker. Captain Ferguson\nis principal at the Perinski Group. He is a
  recently retired Boeing\nexecutive who consults in the field of aerospace
  safety and serves as\npresident of Atlantis Education Services\, Inc. Cap
 tain Ferguson is a\nmember of multiple non-profit boards and an ASTM Inter
 national\nofficer. As Boeing’s chief astronaut\, he contributed to the\n
 development of spacecraft and their crew interface. Prior to this\,\nCapta
 in Ferguson served as a NASA astronaut on three Space Shuttle\nmissions\, 
 including command of the final flight (STS-135) in 2011. He\nserved as a N
 avy Tomcat pilot before his selection to NASA.\n\nCaptain Ferguson holds a
  Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical\nengineering from Drexel Univers
 ity and a Master of Science degree in\naeronautical engineering from the N
 aval Postgraduate School. He has\nbeen recognized with numerous Navy and N
 ASA service awards\, including\nthe Legion of Merit\, Distinguished Flying
  Cross and Spaceflight\nMedals. He was elected to the Drexel Board of Trus
