  a structural analysis of Standard\nand Fixed-Charge Transportation Proble
 ms. The subjects\npresented/discussed will include\, but will not be limit
 ed to:\nmore-for-less\, degeneracy\, intervals\, blind spots\, alternative
 \nsolutions\, extracting values from the equations\, yes/no analysis and\n
 other related subjects.\n\nBiography Krzysztof (Kris) Kowalski was born in
  Gdynia (Poland)\, where\nhe obtained his primary education. In the years 
 1975-79 he attended\nthe Gdansk Polytechnic Institute\, where he obtained 
 a title of an\nEngineer in Hydraulics Department. Following\, he worked a 
 few years as\na civil engineer in surveys and construction with the most c
 hallenging\nassignment in Libyan oilfields. In 1983 he started graduate\ne
 ngineering studies in the University of Mississippi\, completing M.S.\nDeg
 ree in 1984. Following he has worked 15 months as a Research\nAssistant in
  the University of Arkansas in the field of computer\nmodelling of groundw
 ater movement co-authoring several publications in\ngroundwater journals. 
 Since 1986 Kris has been working for the\nConnecticut Department of Transp
 ortation designing different\ntransportation structures. In the past 30 ye
 ars he has done research\nin Operations Research\, mostly in linear and no
 n-linear programming.\nHis work was published in several operations resear
 ch journals.\n
